Cascade County, Montana - With energy prices a serious concern for Montanans, everyone is interested in reducing their energy costs. From solar energy, to small wind turbines, to geothermal systems, folks are looking to save in the long run. What are the economics of such a system? Do they pay for themselves? What other considerations are there to these alternative energy systems? These questions will be answered at three regional workshops coming up at the end of January.

"Small Energy Systems" will be presented in three locations in the Golden Triangle. The first meeting will be on Wednesday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cascade County Extension conference room at the Westgate Mall. On January 28 at 10:00 a.m., this workshop will be presented in the Alice Gleason room of the Choteau Public Library. Finally, on January 28, at 7:00 p.m. at the Conrad Moose Lodge.

The presenter for these workshops will be Kathi Montgomery, renewable energy specialist with the Montana Department of Environmental Quality in Helena.
