Lisa M. Daniels, Executive Director and founder of Windustry, has been providing wind energy information and technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, elected officials, rural utilities and other interested groups since 1995. Currently, Lisa leads Windustry in contracts with the US Dept of Energy and National Renewable Energy Laboratory and as an active partner on the Wind Powering America initiative. Nationally, Lisa serves on the American Wind Energy Association Community Wind Work Group Steering Committee, and the National Wind Coordinating Committee's Steering Committee. Lisa is also a founding member and on the Board of Directors for Women of Wind Energy (WoWE).  She was recognized in 2004 by the US Dept of Energy Wind Powering America program, with the Chicago Regional Office Wind Advocacy Award for regional leadership, creativity, and commitment to wind energy development, and honored again in 2005 for her work with Wind Powering America’s Agriculture Outreach Team. Lisa received a B.S. in Business Management from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts. She loves to canoe and kayak, and enjoys horseback riding and Nordic skiing with her family.

Alissa comes to Windustry as the Community and Small Wind Coordinator, after working at the Minnesota House of Representatives on energy, environment and agricultural issues with citizens from across the state. She is an alumna of the Masters of Advocacy and Political Leadership program at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, as well as a graduate of the University of Rochester (NY) where she majored in Comparative Religious Studies and Political Science. She has also continued her education at the St. Thomas Opus Business School in Online Marketing and Business Communications. In her free time, she enjoys knitting, reading and spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Dan Turner is an experienced renewable energy consultant who has worked with Wind Utility Consulting providing preliminary and full feasibility studies for a variety of organizations considering distributed wind energy usually involving one or more utility-scale wind turbines. He has a wide range of skills and expertise including complex problem solving, strategic planning, small project planning and management, financial modeling in the wind industry, grant writing, technical report development, research, teaching, presentation and public-speaking.

David supports communications and outreach for Windustry, working on websites, email systems, social media, conferences, webinars, print publications, digital content, and other educational materials. David is an Electronic Document Professional (EDP) with Xplor International, AIIM Professional member for Enterprise Content Management (ECM), and a member of the Midwest Independent Publishers Association. He holds a B.Sc. in Photography from the University of Minnesota, where he also completed graduate studies for the Teacher Education Series for Work, Community, & Family Education. He's active in Minnesota technology, communications, and social media groups; and he provides consulting through Word & Image, LLC.

Lisa is a management and fundraising professional with 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has a strong background in sustainable community development, having worked as a researcher, writer, project manager, and fundraiser for a research firm that studies growth patterns in major metropolitan areas of the U.S. – and then as the Development Director and Associate Director of 1000 Friends of Minnesota, a nonprofit that promotes thoughtful development and thriving communities. Lisa serves on the Board of Directors of Linden Hills Power and Light, a neighborhood-based organization working to shrink our local carbon footprint. Lisa has a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from the University of Oregon. She enjoys knitting, reading, and quality outdoor time with her husband, three children, and 12-year-old lab.
